The central focus of Lampstand Ministries is the unwavering commitment to discipleship.
Sometimes we as the Body of Christ can have a bad habit of overcomplicating things. In Matthew 28:19 Jesus says, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” This is not some vision statement of the local church. It’s a command given to the Body of Christ by Jesus, Himself!
And, it’s not a command given to just a select few. It’s a command given to the whole Body! If you’re a follower of Yeshua, you’ve got work to do.
Yes, we need to be one who’s “approved” and who “correctly handles the word of truth”. But the qualification and the authority to go out and make disciples of Jesus Christ doesn’t come from any man, group, or denomination. It comes from Jesus Christ, Himself!
How to get involved.
Making followers of Jesus
Those who are involved in discipleship at Lampstand come from many different denominations and many different walks of life. And every discipleship relationship is different and unique.
Whether online or in person, discipleship meetings are typically scheduled for one hour a week, every week, and continue anywhere from six months to a year. The discipleship program follows a one-to-one pattern. Men meet with men and women meet with women.
And for Lampstand, the curriculum is simple, the Bible.
Even though there are many different patterns of discipleship, there is only One True Pattern. And that’s Jesus Christ.
Lampstand’s mission is to make disciples and followers of Jesus Christ and no one else!
